Question

Need to access Netflix but can't typing email address at the Netflix login

hi, I use this Blu-ray & DVD players with my Samsung 55'' class 1080p Led hdtv. tried to access Netflix but there is no any characters #letter A - Z# on the remote control so there is no way to enter the email address for which the Netflix login required. How can this be done?

Thank you for contacting Samsung. When you are in the login screen for Netflix if you highlight the section you are trying to input information into and hit the enter key you should see a virtual keyboard appear on the screen. The virtual keyboard allows you the ability to select letters and special characters that may be part of your login credentials.

Question

I have a upgrade error message

I just purchased and set my new Blu ray disc player to my new Samsung 32 inch LED TV. I set up the wifi and am able to connect via internet. I went to the support and checked for upgrades. I get an upgrade error message that says, "Mode info in upgrade file does not match with your player". Why does it say that?It says current version BSP-FM57CZAB-1001.5. My model number is BD-FM57C.

Purchased same model May 2013... EXACT same issue and error message...I sent e-mail; today 5/21/2013 & will post answer (if Samsung responds.)

I guess it's possible that the version listed (version 1001.5) IS the most recent.

Wifi setup sees "G" band on router, but not "N"

Sees router, but only recognizes G band. Security is same for both - WPS2 Personal AES. Any suggestions? Thanks.

The instruction manual, next to the source button on page 7 says, "After setup, allows you to set the input source on your TV." However, there is nothing in the instructions that explains how to set this up!

Any chance of adding PLEX to the next firmware upgrade?

BD-FM57C Blu-ray

Hello, with the addition of Hulu to the app list on this model, I am hopeful that others may be added in the near future. PLEX is one of the more widely popular apps today and would be a great addition (or replacement of a less popular app) on this unit. Is there a resource I can contact to make this suggestion?

At the time of this posting, there are not any release dates planned for the Plex App on the Samsung's SmartTV Platform for the BD-EM57C.

Question

DLNA Streaming Large Files (over 4GBytes)

Currently the streaming features work great on small files (under 4Gbytes) but the BD-FM57C gives a playback error if I try to stream MP4 files that are on my PC that are over 4 Gbytes in size.

I should note the same files stream over the network just fine to other devices.

Is there a way to fix this, or does this require a future firmware update?

Question

Why doesn't Netflix connect anymore?

The network connection is still good (it passes the tests and other apps function properly through the network) but the netflix app reports netflix error nw-4-8 when it tries to connect to netflix. The Netflix help website says to reset the device and check for updates. The reset did not help and the device reports that I have the latest version. The problem started after I signed up my VUDU account.

The remote that comes with your Blu-ray can only control certain features of a Samsung TV. There are no universal remote codes that will make it compatible with a TV from another manufacturer.
