Netflix

Why do I have so much trouble using Netflix! it is so inconvenient! It's not the internet because it is working fine and is in the room closest to the router and we have no problems with our Sony smart tv. A lot of the times I have to log in again. The show will start to load but than will just stop and be frozen for hours in the same spot. It is really annoying and I'm starting to hate this Blu-Ray player.

Is Spotify available for this player?

I can't find Spotify listed among the apps in SmartHub, however, it appears Spotify is a Samsung app available on smart TV's. Is this app actually available for this player as well and if not, will it be? (Please? :)

Smart Hub Memory

Can you add more memory? If so please let me know. If not, that's just crazy! Why offer all these apps and not have the ability to use them? I currently have 3 apps in my default and it says I am using 92.31 out of 103.00.

I just had a long on-line chat about this with 3 different agents. according to them, there is no way to add more memory. hundreds of apps and only 10 MBs of space for apps. ??? You can delete some of the ones that it came with and add other ones instead, but that's it! arrrgh.

Question

Netflix problems

Are they ever gonna fix the problems so many customers are having with the Netflix app? I have read so many complaints the same as mine as well as answers from the help chats. I have tried everything that Samsung support says to but I am still having problems. It takes what seems like forever to load the app then forever for the list and the movie. Sometimes (only a few) it works fine. But most it starts the movie then it stops and reloads or pops up that there is no connection. I have tried wifi and shutting all other items off, I have tried wired, I have tried restarting, everything! But I can go to my pc or wii and its just as smooth and fast as it can be. I think I may just take this player back and try a different one or just get my money and say forget it. Not worth the headache anymore, this is the 2nd one I have tried.

Question

AllShare problem

I installed AllShare successfully on my pc (core i7 box, windows 7, running fine). All network connections (wilreless) are working fine. But my BD-EM57C will not access AllShare. It does access the internet, it does access Netflix and other things, but will not access AllShare. And from the pc, AllShare does not see it either. AllShare does see PC Manager from Samsung. Help.

Why netflix is unavailable in PR yet?

I bought this blue ray player because offered netflix a several apps I've been enjoying in my PC. But I saw that Netflix and Pandora are not available in the Samsung app. Would I solve this problem? I really like the blue ray, and I don't want to get it back because of this problem.

Question

How long does it normally take to download netflix app

I have a Samsung BluRay player, wireless, and I'm connected to a Cable Broadband. I signed in 25 min ago, the NetFlix logo has been flashing back and forth from Red to Gray and bottom indicaters are moving as if it's doing something/working.

Unable to get my samsung apps to register.

I am signed in and go to settings to account management, then to register service account and it is a blank screen, only titles are there. What steps do I need to do get the applications so I can downloaded, Pandora etc.

Question

Account name and password.

The DVD wants an email address and password. When I try to set it up (using my current Samsung account e-mail and password) it tells me that that account already exists. I do not want multiple Samsung account names +/or passwords. How do I used the same one for both the DVD and my new Samsung Tablet?

Question

Samsung Apps will not download in SmartHub

If I press the Netflix button it tells me the application is not loaded and needs to be installed in SmartHub. When I go to SmartHub and select Samsung Apps nothing happens. I have reset both the player and SmartHub as well as updating the firmware to the 001018 level.

App Store won't launch

I'm connected to the Internet. I've updated the firmware. The Smart Hub has installed. I have an account; and am logged in... But the Samsung App Store will not launch; just trying to download Netflix.

I have performed a hard reset and done it all again... and it still won't work.

Any suggestions?

Netflix should already be installed inside smart hub... there shouldn't be any need to download it.

After Smart Hub loads, apps are not available, nor can anything (Search, Your Video, Samsung Apps) be clicked on.

When Smart Hub loads, apps are not available nor can any option on the screen be selected. When I attempt to access Netflix or Pandora from the remote I am prompted that, "The application not installed. Please install it first by pressing Smart Hub from the remote and then selecting Samsung apps from the screen." I have updated to the most recent firmware, performed a hard reset of the entire system, and created an account in Smart Hub, and verified that there is a strong internet connection. Is there something I am doing wrong or is there a problem with my Blu Ray player or possibly Smart Hub itself?

I dont really have an answer, but have same problem. and after working for 1 hour on "live chat" and on phone, said their network was down when I tried to set up my player. But that the network was back when I called. So I went through a walkthrough to reset the unit only to have it not work. The walkthrough was basically just an initial setup. The technician has sent it to a power higher up and I was told I will get an email when they have a fix. WOW! The live chat told me the player was not compatable to apps and the box it came in that said it could connect to netflix, pandora, etc was wrong!
I am answering so you dont waste and hour trying something for nothing! I will repost when they get back to me!
