NETFLIX APP IN PUERTO RICO

Hi I just buy the BD today I have been more than 3 hours trying to download netflix app and pandora app. None of the two apps are displayed in the samsung apps from the smart hub. I do a hard reset as mentioned in the link

but this not resolve the problem. I change my dns server to 8.8.8.8 and nothing. Tomorrow I would be returning the BD because I read that many people from Puerto Rico have the same problem. Netflix is available in Puerto Rico since june 2011

Question

I cannot get cd audio to play on my Sony Bravia and may return player to vendor.

I believe I have tried all of the audio setting options available and I get exceptionsl picture but no audio. The audio specs on the Bravia via HDMI are "Two channel linear PCM 32,44.1,and 48 kHz, 16,20 and 24 bits, Dolby Digital. Do you have any solutions before I box it up?

netflix app has to download and install everytime i turn the player on

everytime i turn the player on and push the nexflix button, or go into the hub and click on the icon, netflix has to download and install everytime and i know it is not normal. also menu navigation is extremely lagged. is there a firmware update in the works to fix these issues?

Question

How do you recover 'lost' memory (for apps)

Tried to use Smart Hub Apps, but failed to install them several times, perhaps due to poor network connection. Now network is working, but 107Mb of the total 108Mb of memory is used up and I only have two of the default apps loaded. Nothing else that I've tried will load, and the system tells me I don't have enough memory to load anything I try to load.

Found something in System Settings called "BData management" (or something like that), but it's grayed out and I can't use it.

I'm running firmware 1010 now - still no joy.

Hard reset didn't do anything. Memory still used up and DB still grayed out.

Question

How do I find out what Video and Audio Codecs my player will handle?

Tried to play some old home movies that I've converted to PC files, and plugged into the system via a USB flashdrive, but got the message "Video Codec not supported". What Video Codecs are supported? Am I going to have the same problem with Audio Codecs?

I'm not sure what video codec my files are using, but I can probably figure out how to convert them to something else that will work using VirtualDub or something like that. I'd rather not go to that effort if my current codecs are going to be supported in a future software release. Any chance of finding out if that is a possibility, or are the Codecs part of the permanent software?

Smart Hub Memory

Can you add more memory? If so please let me know. If not, that's just crazy! Why offer all these apps and not have the ability to use them? I currently have 3 apps in my default and it says I am using 92.31 out of 103.00.

I just had a long on-line chat about this with 3 different agents. according to them, there is no way to add more memory. hundreds of apps and only 10 MBs of space for apps. ??? You can delete some of the ones that it came with and add other ones instead, but that's it! arrrgh.

Question

Blue ray player Unit turns on on it's own when watching TV. How Do I stop this?

Player turns on to smart hub on its own when I'm watching TV. TV is though dish network satellite. I must manually go back through my Dish network remote and change back to satellite DBS connection.
The remotes for the TV and Blu ray are separate and not intergrated. It's annoying and my mother does not know how to do the 6 steps required to change it back to the program she was watching on TV.
The TV is a 1080P Panasonic.
How can I prevent this? The blu ray remote works fine to operate the unit. Help?
The smart Hub does not make a connection with my wireless internet through my router. I show 3 bars but I'm assuming my service will not handle the activity. I have internet though satellite, the only way I can get it out here in the mountians.

Question

Software Update Error Code 800: Resource Error

I cannot upgrade my BD EM-57C firmware. It just gives me the 800 error code over and over.

My current software is:

2012/01/04_001003

The attempted download is:

001013

It stays at 0% and then gives me error code 800.

Where can I manually download the file to upgrade the player? The support site has no firmware files! What kind of support site has no firmware?

Question

download times out trying to view Blockbuster

have latest firmware for Blu Ray; latest firmware for router; tried all tricks in help section. have correct time zone on both router and BR player; network is working properly. power cycles BR player. have fast internet wireless connection but shows in "Good" range in Blockbuster speed test. Testing Blockbuster by trying to view a trailer. Any ideas on what settings are incorrect. Thanks,

Your Blu-ray player has a set amount of memory storage and once this is used up, you either have to remove apps or you can add a USB flash drive to the port on the player to expand the storage capacity. We recommend you review the following support articles for more info.

Question

Problem with playback

I just bought this model player for my father as a birthday gift. After setting it up for him and downloading the update, it isn't playing blurays. When I turn it on, it loads up and goes to the home page, and everything seems fine, but when I try to start a bluray, it goes to a black screen, and i cant go back, or do anything, the display on the machine shows time go up to about 10 seconds, then jumps to 1:30, as though it is at the blurays menu screen. but I see nothing, just a black screen. And the only way to get back to the home screen is to turn it off and on again. please help me out here.

Question

Problems after upgrade to 1016.3

I upgraded to 1016.3 on my:
Model #: BD-EM57C/ZA
Serial #: 04897
SInce then, it will load a BlueRay disk, load the data, then drop the HD signal to my TV. Audio stays on.
The player is fine with standard DVDs.
I have tried a reset. No change.
I reloaded the upgrade over usb, no change.

What's going on

Question

sound is out of sync

Every time we go to watch anything on our Samsung BD-EM57C the sound is out of sync with the video. You see the people on the screen start to speak and a half second later you hear the words. This happens on both DVDs and when we are watching anything on Netflix.
Is anyone else having this problem?
