Thank you for your question. As apps are developed by third parties, we have no information about release dates. Please contact the app developer to determine for certain if your app is available.
Plex is clearly available in the app store. See http://www.samsung.com/us/appstore/app/G00002687241. The issue is that my player can't see it for some reason.
In case you need to bring back your unit to the factory defaults, press and hold the STOP button for about 5-8 seconds on your unit, NOT the remote. After the reset, you'll go through prompts to set up your device like the first time when you connected it after you bought it.
Not quite sure what you're referring to in the user's manual. Here's what the manual says:
"You can connect a wireless USB keyboard or mouse to the USB port on the front of the player. Depending on the model of the USB HID keyboard and mouse may not be compatible with your product. Some HID keyboard keys may not work. Wired USB keyboards are not supported. Some applications may not be supported."
You may infer there is an official list of supported keyboards, but there is no official list. Try whatever wireless keyboard you like, but it may or may not work.
In the past, I did a number of resets trying to solve an issue with Vudu that I finally figured out was connection speed related. After each reset, I was prompted to apply an update to the Vudu player, that I had previously applied. When I do a Hub reset now, I'm no longer prompted to reapply updates to the Vudu connection.That seems fine, except for the fact that my internet browser interface failed during an update of it and doing a reset just reinstalls the corrupted interface and not the original interface that would prompt me to upgrade. I believe a recent firmware upgrade changed the way the Hub reset works.While it would get annoying over time to have to reapply a number of updates after doing a reset, it is very annoying when an update fails for some reason, and you can no longer go back to the original software

Why won't my BD-E6500 Z/A Bluray player stay connected to the internet?
More than ample signal. My SMART TV can connect to anything. They're near each other so not enough signal from my router is out. This is my third unit and they all have done the same thing! What the heck!

Volume change causes TV picture to go dark for 4-5 seconds and then it comes back on. It doesn't happen with blue ray DVD

I don't have this issue with my unit. My unit is connected with a high class HDMI cable (10.2 Gb/s rate speed or higher). Try to get a better quality HDMI cable and see if it will resolve the problem. If the problem is still there, your unit might have a hardware defect.
Why dose my Blu-ray player not show the movie Resident Evil Retribution in 3D
I have the Samsung Blu-ray player Model # BD-E6500-ZA , Up dated to the latest frimware as Jan 3 , 2013 . The Blu-ray player loads the disc coming attractions in 3D , but will not play the movie. This is the only movie title at this time , that I can't play in 3D .

I've had the same problem. Took me 1/2 day to solve it. First download Firmware (ver. 1059.0) ZIP file (226.65 MB). Then unzip file. There will be a main folder and 2 subfolders. Here's the trick. Open the main folder and Stop. There should be 2 subfolders. RIGHT click the mouse and drag the curser diagonally so that both subfolders are highlighted. Click "Copy". Now open "my computer" and RIGHT click your removable drive "USB" and click "paste". Make sure your USB flash drive is completely empty before you transfer the files. If not, format it (erase all data). Safely remove USB from computer. Try updating now and safely remove USB from BD-E6500 after update completes by pushing the "HOME" button then the yellow "C" button on the Blu-Rays remote. Hope this helps, it did for me.

Question
When I am streaming movies with Netflix, Vudoo, etc. my player will blank out for 1 second, meaning that the video goes out to a black screen
The audio is not affected. This happens sporadically and sometimes in a row. I did not experience this problem when the unit was new. The unit is close to a year old. I do not have this problem playing discs. I have a SAmsung LED TV and I do not get this watching TV. It appears to be a streaming issue or an issue with the player in the streaming mode. The Firmware is the latest and I did a factory reset, but that has not helped.

I been having the same issue with this, logged into my netflix account, here my video quality was set at "best", then I downgraded to "better" it's streaming fine, but video quality sucks now.
I hope you guys get this fix. I never had any problems with it before when it was set to "best"

The disc to digital was promoted very heavily on the Samsung release videos on Youtube and other sites, yet this feature is not working and says coming soon.

have not been able to connect with netflix. have two other TVs that are downstairs, router is upstairs with this Bluray, but stull unable to connect. blurays downstairs are able to connect. I have talked to Samsung service people as well as Metflix service center, still no resolution. I even bought anew bluray, same type but that didnt work either.

Try to reset your Smart Hub using tools key. Reload will take a while. Once reloaded, It will re-install samsung apps by default, as if you just got it from the store. However, you'll have to re-install any additional apps you've had installed in the past.
If your units freezes and you can't get out of it, don't unplug it, you'll have to do a hard reset. Hard Reset will reset your unit back to default settings, as if you just got the unit from the store.
How to do a Hard Reset: Turn on the unit, press and hold the STOP button on the unit for approximately 5-8 seconds, NOT the remote.

This Samsung keyboard is not compatible with your Blu-ray player as it uses Bluetooth technology and there's no receiver built into the Blu-ray player. You can try using a USB or wireless keyboard with USB dongle though.

I have been experiencing issues at times while streaming metflix movies with lipsync being out of sync at times.I sometimes am able to duplicate the problem by pausing the movie for a minute or 2,then resuming,very frustrating.Also at times I get the network error update where it wont connect to smarthub,but if i check my internet connection,it shows that its connected.I know its a blu ray player issue as a family member experiences the SAME issues,any ideas?Ive reset the player many times,updated the firmware to NO resolution

Sounds like internet speed problem. You didn't specify if you're using wireless or wired router connection. If you're using wireless connection, it is possible that the signal may receive interference from other radio and/or Wi-Fi devices. In this case you wan't to change router's operating channel frequency to a different number, let's say you're using channel 6, change it to #11. Also keep in mind. If you have any other devices close together, you might want to separate them, put them 50" away from each other, see if it helps. If your connection is wired, definitely check your internet speed, make sure it is 2Mbt/s or higher, this will ensure an uninterrupted stream content.
I can not see the app "ChannelLive" in my BD-E6500 but it shows up on BD-C7500.

Apps are made available for certain TV models based on the decision of an app's developing company and the Samsung product engineering team.
If you would like to view a list of what apps are available for your TV, open the link below and if you are not immediately prompted to choose your Samsung model from the tiered drop-down menu, click "Show Apps for a Specific Device", select your model and a list of the apps currently available for your device will be shown.
I believe it has to do with the version of the HUB software you have on both units. "E" series players are latest and newest. From what I heard is that Samsung using different programming codes for different series players. In other words it's the software compatability issue. Most likely the app that you're trying to use was developed sometime ago before the new "E" series players were released with their new encoding.
Hello, Why HBO GO in not available on BD-E6500 but it is on my UN55ES8000F ? That means that the app is for use on Samsung products...
