Thank you for contacting Samsung. Please complete the following steps:

1) go to Settings and then press enter.
2) go to Support and then press enter.
3) Software Upgrade is automatically highlighted, press enter.
4) By Online is automatically highlighted, press enter. The player then connects to the server and searches for update file.
5) A prompt appears, select Yes to update Firmware. The player then begins to download the Firmware file and updates the player.
6) The player powers off and then back on and displays the Home Menu.
7) Open the Pandora app.
8) Select your email address.
9) Enter your password.

Check to make sure your wifi or modem settings are working properly. For example, the house I used to live in, our landlord gave us free wifi. However, because it wasn't password protected until you opened the actual browser, any internet enabled device would not work, with the exception of some cell phones and computers. So definitely make sure that is working, and also check to make sure the actual pandora website isn't down, that could always be a possibility too..

Question

Network Media Poor Performance

When I try to play a video from my pc to the E5400 blu-ray player it plays fine for a few minutes but then it goes into slow motion and the audio drops. I bought this player because of its DLNA capabilities of media streaming through the network to go along with having the blu-ray.

If you still have the receipt, I'd take it back and get another one. Then go from there when trying to establish the problem.

We recommend you make sure your player has the latest firmware. A new update was just released on 11/29/2012.

Additionally, go to Settings > Network > Network Status and once the network test runs, go to IP Settings > DNS Mode > change to Manual and then go to DNS server and enter 8.8.8.8 (which is Google’s DNS) and press enter, then highlight OK and press enter.

Question

why do I have to keep entering my network password

Almost (but not) every time I turn the player on, I have to re-enter my wireless network password. Why does this happen? Obviously the player can save this info because it doesn't always happen but it seems more often than not, I have to do this. It is annoying.

I was having network connection issues. It turns out that my extremely old router was a big contributor to the problem. I replaced my router and now don't have any issues.

Question

How do I restore my Pandora access?

When I attempt to access Pandora from the menu screen of my TV, I get frozen out with the message, "Invalid username or password. Please try again." The message includes an "OK" prompt, which cycles me back to the main menu. My TV is a Samsung & my Blue Ray/DVD player is also a Samsung. I installed the DVD player about a week ago......it worked fine for about two days, and now freezes me out, as I indicated above! I can access Pandora from my PC, and from my iphone, so concluded that the problem is w/my DVD player. ALSO, i can get Netflix & Utube through my DVD player, so the problem is unique to Pandora!

Try to contact Pandora directly, or just recreate a new Pandora account while you are trying to access Pandora through the dvd.

What device is used with the player to input user ID and password?

I find no documentation that advises how to us alphabetical letters to insert my user ID and password. Will a traditional keyboard with USB connector work with the player or is there a soft key to change to the alphabetical leters?

be certain you have moved the cursor to the user ID field. this brings up an alpha/numeric screen for input from the remote control.

However, you can use the directional buttons on your remote to navigate across the on-screen keyboard, and you can use the select button to choose an individual letter. Question

I am trying to connect our bluray BD-E5400 to our century link Actiontec PK 5400 modem.

Our network shows up in the wireless setup, but when I try to the WPS setup, it doesn't work. How can I connect wirelessly? I can't do it manually because CenturyLink uses a 26 character security key.
Will a firmware update fix this? The player was purchased in December 2012 and I haven't installed any updates to it.

Netflix Menu Screens Cut Off

I just purchased this blue ray player yesterday, and whenever I laucnh Netflix the main menu screen is cut off - I can not see the whole page. No other apps on this player (Pandora, Vudu) have this issue.

What is the problem with the Netflix app?

Question

Allshare Galaxy Tab 2 and this Blu-ray player

I bought this Blu-ray player specifically because it is advertised as having Allshare. So far I have not been able to connect my Galaxy Tab 2 tablet to it though and I am very discouraged. It is going back to the store if I can't get this to work. Neither the Tab nor my laptop sees this player, but both work together fine on my network. Does anybody have any suggestions on what I should be doing to find and get Allshare working on this Blu-ray player?

If the door on the player is not functioning correctly, we can only suggest you file a service request. You would need to send the player into a service center for repair, but given that it's a 2012 model, it should definitely still be within it's parts/labor warranty coverage.

Question

Wireless Firmware Update will not work

I set this player (BD-E5400) up today and first Pandora wouldn't work. I tried to install the firmware upgrade over my wireless connection and I get an error saying the network is not available. I know my connection is good. I manually installed the latest firmware upgrade and know Pandora works fine. I still can't even check for a formware update over my wireless connection.
