HOW CAN I PLAY VIDIO FILES THROUGH THE PLAYER FROM MY NETWORK DRIVE (NETWORK SETUP ON PLAYER)

When I first started the player, I accidentally found a way to play the movie files from the home network. After the system updated, I cannot seem to find a way to play the files, although I can access netflix, etc.

Set your network location under Home Network.. Make sure your Home Network settings allow for media streaming. You should see it in the section where you can select the USB option in your blueray. if not on your PC do the following. Start menu > Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Choose homegroup and sharing options > under " Share Media with devices" select the "Stream my pictures, music, and videos to all devices on my home network" option > Save Changes. This is for Windows 7. Other windows should be similar.

i have found that to be the same for me. I hope they allow us to access the files on our computer and stream to the tv. I have found that putting the movie on a thumb drive works.

I’m sorry to hear that you're having this problem with your Blu-ray player.

I’d recommend trying to reset the unit by turning the unit on and making sure that the disc tray is empty. Then, press and hold the STOP button until the unit resets. Then, go through the initial setup and power down the unit. Then, try and restart the unit and you should have proper operation.

I have the same problem. I had a 5700 that worked ok on netflix for about 6 months. then it started to act up now and then, finally it stop playing all titles. i could login and view the titles but not play them. I went out today and bought a 6100. it works great on hulu, gives the same "not connected" error on netflix. Netflix says that they require higher bandwidth than other services. The hulu stream looks terrific. I dont know if samgung has a bad netflix app, my cable service is blocking the netflix port, or netflix just plain sux. whatever the issue, you probably will get an answer here. BTW, I can get netflix to stream fine on other devices on the same internet connection, go figure.

How do I connect a bd6100 to a love stream? it seems to look in Youtube for any URL

I am trying to get BYUTV connected trough the SmartHub. I cannot get an App and when I search, it looks like the default is to search within Ytube and not to treat the URL as such.

When will you be able to support Sirius XM Radio thru the Player BD-D6100C?

I can listen to Pandora thru my Samsung, I also now have an account thru Sirius XM Radio and would also like to listen to it thru my Samsung. However I have not had any luck searching for it and also thru your customer service..... Can anyone let me know?

If you are using wireless then it is most likely your router strength. Had same problem but moving wireless router closer to the tv helped boost the signal enough to work.

Question

Trouble connecting to the network through the blu-ray player

Everything in the settings says I am connected to the internet but when I try to get to the apps it says I have no network connection. Netflicks will not connect either.
We did get a new wireless device through comcast but all our other wireless devices are working fine, only the blu-ray player is not getting the signal. Only one bump out of 5.
Sometimes an error message of interference will be the cause of not connecting.

Question

Player stuck on Load or Open

My player is stuck on Load or Open. I see nothing on the screen only the words on the LCD. This seems to be a common problem perhaps related to the firmware (but I can't see the onscreen options, so there is nothing I can do to check). Of course it is 2 months out of warranty, but this seems unacceptable.
Does anyone know how to get past this problem? Before I buy a new non-Samsung Blu-Ray player?

Check the Repeat options in the menu. It sounds like it's set to repeat "chapter", which would play the same part over and over.
