I don't have a question to address on this, but the Apps are services made available by those App owners. There is not a browser feature on this model at the time of this posting, so that statement would be accurate.

Question

why does device have black screen when on.

My contents is not showing up as is nothing when I turn on blu-ray player. TV is turned to av1 and blu ray is working. Turned on and contents came up and then disappeared. Touched button on regular Samsung remote but no idea if that did it or not. Will not come back up.

Question

My BluRay DVD player is having problems accessing Netflix movies, but no problem with other internet sites.

Model # BD-D5700. Netflix says it could be problem with player. It is a wireless, and that too much noise on the line could affect the playback transmission. We purchased the wireless player at the recommendation of the sales person. What do you recommend to resolve this problem? Also what type of ethernet cable do I purchase to hardwire product to modem?

In some cases, it may have to do with the possibility that you might not have the latest firmware update loaded onto your Blu-ray player. To do this, you may need to download the instructions and the update from the www.Samsung.com/support website.

I don't have any recommendations for different types of ethernet cable. You want to contact your local retailer and see if your retailer's salesperson would be able to assist you in choosing the right cable for your equipment.

The Ethernet cable is required to connect to your router.

Connecting to a computer for internet streaming may be possible, but that's not a configuration we support. Hardwiring directly into the router, or using wireless is recommended.

It may be for BD-Live content. If you'd like to bypass that, turn BD-Live "OFF" in the player's menu.

Not all manufactures will have codes that are represented in the owners manual. We offer the codes for a large array of television manufacturers, and while we are able to offer a wide selection, not all manufacturers or all products will be available.

In this case this particular manufacturer is not supported, as codes are not available in the manual.

Make sure batterys are new and you and you have a clear view of the DVD Player must complete the total registration and not just part of it!

I’d recommend trying to reset the unit by turning the unit on and making sure that the disc tray is empty. Then, press and hold the STOP button until the unit resets. Then, go through the initial setup and power down the unit. Then, try and restart the unit and you should have proper operation.

The Netflix activation code appears when you first launch the Netflix app.

That code will have to be entered online at the www.Netflix.com/activate website so that your player is linked with a Netflix account.

Question

my Blu ray won't play any blu-ray discs.

I have had this for a few weeks. I watched on movie on Christmas day with multiple problems with sound. I updated the software. Then last night I watched another movie. When I wanted to go back a chapter it did but then had no sound. I had to stop and restart it twice to get sound to link up. not to mention it to FOREVER to load. Now this morning it is not playing anything.

It was working fine last night, and this morning I couldn't view anything past the copyright warnings. DVD's are playing fine, and the internet/apps are also working fine.
