Question

How do you upgrade BD 6500/XAA

I downloaded firmware upgrade file (BSP-C6500WWB-1015.4.RUF) file and burned it to a Data CD on a Mac. When I put the CD in the blu ray player I get the message "Model information in upgrade file does not match with your player." What is going on? The whole process was instigated when the player said I could not play a Fox Studios blue ray disc because the player firmware had to be upgraded.

To deactivate your Netflix account, log into your account at Netflix.com, go to "Your Account and Help" at the top right hand side of the screen, and click on Manage Netflix-Ready Devices and Computers. Choose the device you'd like to de-activate, and click "Deactivate".

If you'd like to reconnect your device to your account, simply launch the Netflix App and you'll be prompted to enter a new code.

Question

Why can't I connect to my Samsung Apps Account?

I go to: Internet@TV > Settings > Internet@TV Login ID > Manage You App Account > App Account > (Enter Password) > Samsung Apps CONNECT > >> It reads "Please enter your Samsung Apps Site ID and password" I do this, then it always reads "Invalid User ID or password" ?? Why is that? My user names and passwords work fine for Facebook, Picasa & Twitter. And the user name and password obviously work for this website as I am currently logged in, negating the thought I may have forgotten my user name and/or password.

When I got to "Setup App Accounts" under Internet@TV Login ID, I can't connect to the Samsung Apps Account. It prompts me to enter my Invalid User ID or Password.

Question

When will the C6500 have a searchable NetFlix interface that doesn't rely on using a computer?

I have a Wii with a NetFlix Disc and I had a Roku Box. Both of these units allow you to search the NetFlix directory. Why doesn't the C6500? I'm thinking of returning the C6500 because of this. Having to look up movies on my computer, then add them to my "Instant Que" is very time consuming. I rather go back to just a RoKu Box and get a less expensive Blu-ray Player.

answer 2
NO, generic wireless adapter will not work, you have to check the manual to get the exact part number of the wireless dongle that is compatible with your player, it can be WIS09ABGN or WIS09ABGN. Just visit this website for details: www.samsungparts.com or call 800 6274368. :-)

Question

connecting BD6500 in hotel that only wants an accept conditions to use internet

I am staying at a Holiday inn with free wireless, no password needed. It does require that the initial web page load up you accept terms and conditions and then it will let you access the internet. The 6500 connects just fine to the hotel, all tests show green, but when trying to start internet tv there is nothing but a message saying connect to the internet. Anyone know how to get service with only the player, I dont have a laptop here with me in the room.
