I tried the same thing and was very disappointed to find out that hulu plus was not available on the model of my blu-ray player. Check your model number and then find out if it's available on your player. I have the BD6500 and it's not available. :(

Sometimes devices can be deactivated when more than six devices are connected to any given Netflix account. Even if this is not the case, sometimes devices occasionally need to be reconnected to your Netflix account.

First, check to make sure that the device is not listed in your Netflix account. You can do this by checking to see which devices are attached to your Netflix account, or by contacting Netflix directly and having them assist. You want to make sure that your Blu-ray player is deactivated.

What's your Blu-ray player is deactivated, you be able to activate is again simply by starting the app. Starting the Netflix App will prompt you to enter a code into the www.netflix.com/activate website. Once you've entered that code, it should load your account and queued movie selections directly on the Blu-ray player.

If you need further assistance with deactivating your Blu-ray player or working with your Netflix account, the Netflix customer service center can be reached at 1-866-716-0414.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having a problem locating the Netflix app.

Netflix is available in the United States, Canada and in several different regions. However, the service is not available in all regions, such as Puerto Rico. You may need to contact the Samsung customer service center in your region to see if the service is available.

Hey man just got through with Customer support and I fixed the same Issue you are having. To fix it start the blu-ray player then go to internet@TV then scroll to the left side and on the Samsung remote control press >>289<<, it's that or >>289>><<

>> = Fast-forward button
<<= Rewind button

Then a window will pop and ask you your country, select United States and then you'll get 10 new apps, Netflix and Hulu + included. Hope this helps man, if you have any trouble going to Live Chat under support for help.

Question

How do I get the bd-c6500 recognized by my home network?

The player is connected to the wireless network and receives data from the internet; however, neither of our two home computers can "see" the c6500. The router recognizes the player and it has an IP address assigned by the LAN.

You will need to install PC Share Manager server software on the computer the files live on (network shares not recognized/allowed) and then permit the player to access the server through a policy change toggle on the server software. I run PCSM on several PC on my network, to cover more of the files to share.

Once done, press "A" on the player remote from the "internet@" and select the source of your shared files. Allow a couple of minutes for UPNP to broadcast on the network and establish the presence of your server.

Be sure you're not logging on to a "guest" account on your router. That access class won't give network access. (I learned that the hard way.......)

I've had the player a week. Couldn't get wireless connection to work on my ATT Uverse 2Wire router using any tech advice found online, so I ran ethernet cable from the router to the 6500 and got a network connection. Then I discovered that the only computer on our home network that the 6500 could relate to was the desktop machine that is also cabled to the router (as well as wireless). The 6500 is not "seen" as a device on the network even though the router identifies it and allows internet access. Because of that strange state of affairs, the only computer that we can use for sharing is the hard-wired computer. It's as if the home network doesn't exist. I think one aspect of this is that the 6500 is not "resident" on the network in the same way our printers are. We can share the printers because they are connected to one of the network computers. It's infinitely frustrating, for sure. This is anything other than Plug And Play. If it were truly simple to set up, it would probably cost a fortune.

To deactivate your Netflix account, log into your account at Netflix.com, go to "Your Account and Help" at the top right hand side of the screen, and click on Manage Netflix-Ready Devices and Computers. Choose the device you'd like to de-activate, and click "Deactivate".

If you'd like to reconnect your device to your account, simply launch the Netflix App and you'll be prompted to enter a new code.

When your in the settings menu you set this up using your remote. It's not something you already have to have. Don't feel bad. I made this assumption also and wondered the same thing. You just have to choose a name and password and then and if you log off the player from the internet you will need to know your Logon ID and Password you chose during setup.

answer 2
1. Turn on your blu ray disc player once it's online,
2. click on internet@TV
3 scroll to settings click enter and a new screen will come up - scroll to internet@tv login ID - click on your login ID
4 a new screen will come up and from there you will create a samsung acct (ex. id- bettyb and 4 digit number password.) this is the only way you will be able to log into your tweet and facebook accts.

5. Once this is done, go back to your login setting and scroll to manage your app account and enter. A new screen will come up with your sumsung appID. click on app account, a box will come up -enter in your 4 digit password and once this is done, the next screen will show all apps that you have an account with. Scroll to the one you want to log into click on that app and a new box will come up requesting for your username and password (ex facebook)

6. Each time you log into your samsung internet@TV acct, you will need your 4 digit number password. So make it easy for you to remember. Or you can use the A on your remote and login from your start screen once your are in internet@TV

Hopes this helps~

I would recommend checking the Network Test in the player's Network Test menu. If you're able to pass all four checkpoints and still aren't able to connect, try powering down the television and powering it back up. Give it about a minute to connect to your home network, launch Internet@TV and then launch your program.

In many cases, this message appears when the network to your router has not been yet established.

Thank you for contacting Samsung.

We recommend you make sure your player's firmware is updated, as the newest version was just released on 12/17/2012.

If the playback issue persists, we recommend you work through the Disc Playback guide to help you determine what is the next best option to resolve the issue.

First make sure the DVD plays in other devices (old DVD player, computer, etc.). Then make sure your player will play *other* DVDs. Once we know the DVD plays in other players, and that your player will read other DVDs, we try the H.I.T. method. This is where you smack the side of your player, like your Dad used to smack the old B&W TV when you were a kid...

If you're registering the product and made a mistake, it's best to call the 800-SAMSUNG customer service center and have a customer service agent assist in correcting it.

Thanks for your support of Samsung products!

Email/call the company address what happened and provide the new/correct number. Or you can always redo the registration to correct the info.
