Thank you for contacting Samsung.

Since you did not specify the model of the wireless adapter, let's make sure you have the correct one. The product manual indicates your player support the WIS09ABGN adapter.

http://www.samsungparts.com/Products/Parts_and_Accessories/PID-AK96-01195A.aspx?oldpart=WIS09ABGN&model=

Next, have you attempted a factory reset of your device? If not, please follow the instructions below.

http://www.samsung.com/us/support/supportOwnersHowToGuidePopup.do?howto_guide_seq=5402&prd_ia_cd=N0000071&map_seq=35277

If the issue persists after a factory reset, we recommend you file a service request.

It will than start the download, mine froze so i had to un plug mine for 20 sec and plugged it back in everything reset and its now up and running. i hope that this all makes sense and helps you. In regard to the message, "Please activate Inertnet @ TV services...", I also recently received this message and all of my apps were gone. My network connection was fine, but the only way to fix it was by re-setting up the connection, including the security key.

Question

Why are there so many issues with Pandora connections?

I like listening to Pandora through my Blue Ray player and speaker system. About 6 out of 10 times that I connect with Pandora, my connection is lost. I get a message that my internet connection was reset. When I open Pandora on my P.C. using the same Router that my Blue Ray uses, I never have a connection issue. Why do I only have an issue when using my Samsung Blue Ray player ?

Is your PC using a wired network connection over a wireless connection? What encryption are you using? Placement of equipment to other electrical equipment can also be a factor, distance from router, are you running wireless B/G or N? What router are you using? There are a lot of variables to consider before you actually blame the BluRay player.

Several national and regional retailers have the Samsung WIS09ABGN LinkStick available for sale.

If you're not able to find it at your favorite retailer, you can order it directly from www.samsungparts.com or by calling them directly at 800-627-4368.

Question

How do I upgraded my BD-C5500 Blu-ray player?

I rented a blu-ray of "Hot Tub Time Machine" and when I inserted the disc it told me I had to upgrade my device in order to view the movie. So my question is a 2-parter. (1) What do I need to download in order to upgrade and (2) how do I install this on the Blu-ray player. It is connected to a Samsung TV but not to my computer. My computer is a Mac G5. Is there a USB port on the device I can stick a thumb drive in?

Thanks,

Updates can be done through the Support/update menu of the player while connected to the Internet, or by downloading the update from the Samsung.com/support site.

If you choose to download the updates from the site, there are also instructions that you can download to assist with the updates.

For Mac users, you may need to format the thumbdrive to MS-DOS-FAT first before loading the unzipped .RUF update file to the drive.

We appreciate your support of Samsung products.

Not all manufactures will have codes that are represented in the owners manual. We offer the codes for a large array of television manufacturers, and while we are able to offer a wide selection, not all manufacturers or all products will be available.

In this case this particular manufacturer is not supported, as codes are not available in the manual.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having this issue with your Blu-Ray player.

What's happening is that the settings on your Blu-Ray player may be on the default 480 resolution settings.

Keep your HDMI cable connected to both the player and the TV.

Using the included AV cable (yellow composite cable), connect the Blu-Ray player to your TV with the AV cable and switch to that input and power the Blu-Ray player ON. You should be able to see the menu.

Now, using the remote, go to your video settings and raise the output resolution to 720p, 1080i or 1080p. Choose one and then exit the menu.

Now, since you already have the HDMI cable connected, switch your TV to the corresponding HDMI input. You should be able to see the menu in HD. Once you can see that, remove the AV cable and you're ready to watch in HD.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having this issue with your BlockBuster App.

You might try deleting the App and then re-installing it to see if it's an issue with the download.

You might also go in to see if entering your account information in the Settings/Account area allows the service to activate on your machine.

If you have further issues and still can't get it to connect, try calling 800-SAMSUNG for further troubleshooting.

Without knowing which model you have I'll keep it general.

You will need an internet connection for the device (TV, Player, Home Theater...) This can usually be wired (default) using standard Cat-5 cabling or wireless (via the optional WiFi adapter). You need a way for the Netflix datastream to get to your device. Otherwise you can still do the "disk in the mail" thing.

You set up network settings under SETTINGS-->NETWORK. Take the defaults unless you have specific needs. Your device should be set up to use DHCP by default. Unless you have played around with the networking settings on your access point, this is what you want.
Just choose "wired" or "Wireless" on your device. If you choose wireless you will need to discover the network and select it, etc. as needed.
