It depends on what model BD player you have. I have the BD 5500, almost 3 years old now
It supports Amazon Instant movies which is Amazon Prime. It streams well from my Wi-Fi .
Look in the part that says Samsung Apps and find it to add it if it is not already on display.
Hope this helps

Question

Internet@TV not working after latest Firmware

Recently updated firmware to version 1028. The "Please activate Internet@TV" appears on the main screen. When I click on the Internet@TV icon it says Starting/Downloading/Installing but jumps back to the main screen and is not installed. Clicking on the button again repeat the process. I have performed a hard reboot several times (holding stop button for 8 seconds and resetting defaults) but this does not help. I also thought the firmware would revert back to default after resetting but it is still version 1028. Wireless network settings and status say connected and good. What next?

WIFI connection

Switched fro WEP to WPA2 WIFI for improved security, however, when going through the installation of the password (64 characters) it fails.
On the TV I get a message: Due to the change of a WIFI policy, cannot support TKIP security type in 802.11n mode. In that case, check a security setting on the Access Point. Thank you for contacting Samsung.

After conferring with our resident home theater specialist, she indicates that WPA-PSK will work, but TKIP will not. Your access point is your wireless router. If you did not purchase and configure the device yourself, we recommend you contact your Internet service provider's technical support line for further assistance.

Our research indicates that the app is only compatible with 2012 Blu-ray models. We cannot speculate if Redbox will add support for older players, as they developed the app for use with Samsung products.

Thank you for contacting Samsung.

If you would like to view a list of what apps are available for your Blu-ray player, open the link below and if you are not immediately prompted to choose your Samsung model from the tiered drop-down menu, click "Show Apps for a Specific Device", select your model and a list of the apps currently available for your device will be shown.

http://www.samsung.com/us/appstore/browse

If this particular app is not among the listings, we recommend you refer to the following link.

http://www.databazaarmedia.com/samsung/

There is an email address listed that you can write to see if the app is available for your Blu-ray player, as Databazaar Media develops the app for Samsung products themselves, not Samsung.

Question

Why is my Blue-Ray player trying to upload an app that does not work with the player?

For the last week, every time I turn on the player to watch Netflix, there are no "Recommended" titles on the top of the home page screen(when you first turn on the device). So when I click on internet@tv and try and troubleshoot the problem, it tells me that there is an upgrade needed. So it shows the upgrade screen for Accuweather and it gets stuck. I came to this website and it is telling me that Accuweather is not compatible with my DVD player.
So now I cannot use the device for anything other than DVDs.
Any ideas what is causing this?
