When updates are rolled out by an App owner like Netflix, the old versions are uninstalled so that new versions can be installed. Netflix is available as a download from the “Video” section of Apps on applicable Samsung Blu-Ray players, and it is always available for download if it wasn’t automatically installed or updated on your player (provided you live in a region where Netflix is available, and your player supports the Netflix App).

If you are still unable to install Netflix, or the App has disappeared and you aren't able to find it in the Apps section, please reach out to the Samsung customer service center at 800-SAMSUNG or speak with one of our technicians at the chat link below:

We’re committed to quality customer care, so if we can assist, please reach out.

The Samsung Blu-Ray players require the Samsung WIS09ABGN LinkStick.

If you're using a different wireless LAN, it may not work. If that's the case, you'll need the Samsung LinkStick for wireless connectivity.

If you have the LinkStick and you still have trouble, try reaching out to the Samsung customer service center at 800-SAMSUNG.

No, if you're using a wired connection, you don't need to use a wireless connection as well.

Things that can cause a movie to freeze might be low bandwidth, neighborhood network variables, or the amount of traffic currently being transmitted on the same network.

Question

How do I get a stopped disc to return to where I left off?

Generally after a few minutes it takes me back to the title menu where annoyingly I have to go through all the ads, warnings, previews again. I want it to memorize the stop position.

Usually pressing the stop button will leave the disc at the same position ready for when you want to come back from a brief break. If a prolonged period of time lapses between the time that you stop the movie and return to view it again, the player may shut off as part of the power saving feature. If this happens, you have to go through all of the start up ads warnings and previews.

We appreciate your support of Samsung products, and I hope this addresses your question.

Pressing {enter} on the front of the unit might also work.

The bigger concern is why the remote isn't working, since much of the functionality of the player is dependent on the remote control.

Try calling the Samsung customer service center at 800-SAMSUNG to see if they can help you diagnose the problem with your remote.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having a problem setting up your player.

To restart from scratch, which may be the best way to approach this, make sure the unit is powered on and that the disc tray is empty. Once you've verified that, press and hold the STOP button until the unit resets. It will reload the last loaded firmware update, and then try them navigate setting up Netflix again. If you continue to have an issue, try reaching out to the Samsung customer service center at 800-SAMSUNG.

AllShare lets you play music, video, and photo files located in your PC or your DLNA compatible mobile phone or NAS on the player.

To use AllShare with your player, you must connect the player to your network (See pages 23~24 of the owner's manual).

To use AllShare with your PC, you must install AllShare software on your PC.

If you have a DLNA compatible mobile phone or NAS, you can use AllShare without any additional
software.

You can download the PC software and get detailed instructions for using AllShare from the Samsung.com web site.

Question

Our Blu-ray player seems to get stuck in the same place on different movies.

I’m sorry to hear that you're having this "getting stuck" problem with your Blu-ray player.

I’d recommend trying to reset the unit by turning the unit on and making sure that the disc tray is empty. Then, press and hold the STOP button until the unit resets. Then, go through the initial setup and power down the unit. Then, try and restart the unit and you should have proper operation.

If you still continue to experience difficulty, I would recommend contacting the Samsung customer service center, and speaking to one of our chat agents at the following link:

Or you can also call them directly at 1-800-SAMSUNG.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having this issue.

A common problem people overlook is unpacking the downloaded file on the PC desktop, and installing those files on a freshly formatted thumb-drive.

Sometimes, people incorrectly copy the file over, and expect the TV to unpack the files, and that doesn't work.

Instead, try launching the downloaded file FROM the desktop, and installing the files TO the freshly-formatted thumb-drive.

If you still continue to experience difficulty, I would recommend contacting the Samsung customer service center, and speaking to one of our chat agents at the following link:
