You should see the netflix app in your apps section, if you don't see it then you should be able to download it from the Apps Store, make sure that you have internet then run the app

If you are located in puerto rico and you can't see the app or cant make it work, press FF 2, 8, 9 RW on your remote and select USA in the country list and after you agree the terms and conditions, the smart hub will upgrade and you will be able to download and access the app.

You should see the netflix app in your apps section, if you don't see it then you should be able to download it from the Apps Store. Make sure your Internet is working. Once you download and install the app, open it by clicking on it and then it will prompt for your login credentials. Enter the login credentials for netflix account, if you don't have the account you will have an option to register for new account. Now you can enjoy the movies..

Well i too just downloaded the SmartHubb update and it wiped out all my apps. But no Netflix is no longer listed as an app that can be installed. Also the link to Netflix in the App Store here on the website no longer works.

Wonder if that means Samsung is not going to let us use Netflix anymore.

I guess samsung was updating their server again. Let me tell you this is inconvenient every time. It seems to happen a lot and always during the day. anyways all my apps were wiped and I had to reload what I wanted. Netflix had to be reactivated on the tv but it works now. New look, more convenient to operate...you know like every other netflix ready device has...about time samsung. I am registered on the website as having this tv. You have my e-mail why is it so hard to send out an e-mail as a courtesy call to at least let people know that you're going to make these upgrades and the server will be down. I paid good money for this tv and pay for the netflix service I get frustrated when I can't use it...my sony blue ray doesn't ever do this neither does my wii. They just also so happen to be in less used rooms of my house so I prefer to use netflix on my samsung tv.

I have the almost the same issue as you. I cannot even get the facebook account registered in the samsung applications. I called tech support 2 times and got no where with them. I have tried wiping and reistalling all the applications on the TV and still have had no luck with Facebook. Every time I try to register, I get an alert from Facebook that looks like this;- It looks like someone used your Facebook account to log into Samsung Smart TV (Friday, July 8, 2011 at 7:13pm). Was this you? If so, you can disregard the rest of this email. if your on a BD player, goto netflix registration on the device, it will give you a code, then goto netflix.com login to your account and click on ad device under your account settings. type in the code and in a few minutes you should be able to access neflix on your BD player.

The refresh rate is also part of the reason. My first 60hz tv caused this reaction from me. At first I didn't like it but now I love it and can't wait to get a 120hz.

If you have 'Auto Motion Plus' enabled, it can create that 'too real' appearance. You should be able to disable or adjust it under 'System>Picture Options'.

It's the HD. I thought the same thing when I first saw the picture on our tv in HD. Now it's normal and I can tell right away if it's on a HD channel or regular cable.

the problem is on Facebook not allowing you to log in. There are setting on Facebook that need to be turned on so you can register your service from your TV. I had the same problem as you and after 30 days of tech support, go no where and figured it out myself.
Log in to Facebook from a PC.
Go to the “accounts” tab on the top right.
Select the “Privacy Settings” from this menu.
From here see bottom left for “Apps and Websites” select the link for Edit you settings.
From here you need to turn on all apps. You might have turned this off for spamming apps.
Once you do this, try to Log in to smart TV, by hitting A on your TV.
once logged in try to register Facebook once again.
once registered, try to log in.

now if you go back to Facebook, you will see that facebook is registered.

The availability of the individual app at a regional level could be impacted by a multitude of different factors ranging from consumer software licensing restrictions, national restrictions on internet traffic, to the individual vendor themselves, and not to mention international policies concerning encryption. In a recent trip to Europe, I found that I was no longer able to access the Streaming Service for Netflix. It may very well be the vendor of the App(s) in question for you here, as I found it to be on my trip.

Some apps are country/region dependent. Most of the apps therefore are made and only available in the USA. I face the same issue from the Netherlands. You should wait for more apps to be developed for your own country/region or consider developing yourself some apps.

Youtube now has different quality settings such as 720p to HD. It all depends on the quality the person recording the video has recorded it in. If he/she recorded with an HD camera you will be able to see it HD on TV. Hope that helps!

The quality of youtube videos depend upon your internet connection. When you are playing the video it automatically detects your internet speed and you will see the quality selected automatically. Usually it starts with 240/360/480/720/1080...

That depends on the age of the video. Older videos are available only in what's called Progressive Download (PD) format. They typically have a lower renditon quality (like 320).

Newer videos can be transcoded into PD or Streaming format. The latter allows a Flash player to dynamically choose the best possible bandwidth that your internet connection can support.

The only model that currently loads from the side is the BD-C7500. The entire front panel slides towards the right revealing the disc tray. All other Blu-ray models feature the traditional front loading disc tray.

What are you connecting to the TV using that HDMI cable? Do you have cable service or satellite TV? We had a similar issue...we have DirecTV and found out after we got the TV home (and the picture looked lousy) that the satellite receiver was analog, not digital. And DirecTV wants to charge us all kinds of money (and extend our contract) to make the switch! Thank you, but we'll make do until the contract runs out in a couple of months and then switch to cable.

Why is my PS3 hdmi connection reading @ 1920 x 1080 @60Hz?

It will always display 60 Hz because that is the signal the tv is receiving .
it doesn't matter if its the cable box or the play , it will say 60 Hz because that is the incoming signal even though the unit is displaying 120 Hz

it will always display 60 hz because the PS3 is only producing 60hz

if you're samsung tv is 120hz capable just activate the auto-motion plus on the tv by going in to the menu and then go into picture and then go down to picture options and then auto-motion plus and then select SMOOTH to activate 120hz on the tv but display will still be 60hz because tv is the one converting it to 120hz

Make sure your are connecting the yellow jack on the first port from right to left , its the green one, and the red and white port on teh first and second starting left to right. make sure the green port has a yellow circle around it its not you will need some composite cables or try a new set of cables

Serial Number

I had my TV hung on the wall before I was able to get the serial number on the back. Now there is no way to get to it, its a locking bracket and I cant figure out how to unlock it to get to the back. Is there any other way I can get the serial number besides off the back of my TV? Its a UN55D8000

Most locking brackets have a little switch on the right bracket to unlock the mount. If that doesn't work, you can try turning up the lights and using a camera to take a picture ( if there's enough room between the TV and the wall).

Unfortunately there is not other way, you will have to unmounted the tv from the wall, just the 2012 model will be able to provide you that info within the menu system.

it will never be available on the bd-c5500 it is only available on 3 bd players bd-c6900, bd-c7900 and bd-c8000

you cannot add netflix on your tv it is only compatible to yahoo widgets netflix would only be available on LED 2010 models C series

My update starts and I wait along time but it won't finish. The updating says mlb.tv and updating but how long does it take to finish?

If this is on a BD player clear your cache per the instructions in the manual. For the TV try removing one of your existing apps, you could be running out of storage. The update on a 1.5MB connection should only take about 5 minutes total

This answer worked for me (the answer was posted on a Google forum):

1) Internet@TV from the main menu
2) Settings
3) System Setup...here is where we think we set up our username and PIN
4) After setting up service site ID, go to Manager (under Internet@TV) and choose "service site" - it should ask for your PIN
5) Select Picasa and register your existing Picasa account login info (you must have a Picasa account set up first)
6) Return to the main Internet@TV menu and choose Samsung Apps
7) Select "Login" using the red "A" button on remote, and enter your PIN again
8) Choose Picasa (under "What's New" or "Lifestyle") and select "Run Now"
9) This should connect you to the main Picasa app, now connected to your account

on the main screen of the internet@tv page look on the bottom part if there is red colored icon A login if you that on the bottom part of the screen means your not logged in through your internet@tv ID just press the A red button on remote and log in that ID that you created and after that it should say A logout and then can already log in picasa

use the small blue or yellow cloth that came with the tv just wipe it off and just damp the cloth wth water
