How do I pair a WEP301 headset with a Pantech Pursuit?

I'm trying everything I can think of, and I've had the headset so long that my user manual seems to be missing, so I don't know what else to do. I just got the phone today, but I've been using the headset on my old phone, and I don't know how to get it back into pairing mode.

When you turn on your Samsung Bluetooth
headset for the first time, it proceeds into pairing
mode immediately.
2. If you have paired the headset with other
Bluetooth devices, make sure that the headset
is off. Press and hold the Multi-Function button
until the blue indicator light stays solid blue after
blinking.
3. Set your Bluetooth phone to discover the headset
by following your phone’s guide. Typically, the
steps involve going to a ‘Setting’, ‘Connection’,
or ‘Bluetooth’ menu on your phone and then
selecting the option to discover Bluetooth devices.
4. Your phone will find the Samsung headset and
ask if you want to pair with it. Confirm this by
pressing the Yes or OK key.
5. Enter a passkey or PIN, 0000 (4 zeros), then
press the Yes or OK key.
6. If pairing was successful, the indicator light will
flash in blue 10 times rapidly before going to
flashing every 3 seconds. If unsuccessful, the
light remains on, and you will need to re-attempt
pairing.
7. When you turn on your headset after pairing
with the phone, the headset is automatically
connected to the phone.
8. When you turn on your phone after pairing with
the headset, the phone is connected to the
headset by pressing the Multi-Function button.

We can do minimal troubleshooting. Once troubleshooting has been done to the point of actual failure, we can setup a repair on the product, should it be determined the problem cannot be resolved over the phone. We can have the product replaced, if it is still under warranty and has not been physically damaged.
If it is deemed, after troubleshooting, that the handset requires service/repair or replacement, our Repair Administrators will create a Return Material Authorization (RMA#) for the device. Provided there is no physical damage to the phone and the failure is not due to any type of liquid damage, the product will be replaced under warranty.

Thank you for your inquiry. We undestand that you would like to know how to connect a device to your WEP301 Bluetooth Headset.

You may pair your Bluetooth Headset to your Bluetooth phone by following the steps provided below:
1 Enter Pairing mode.
Turn off your headset and press and hold the
Multi-function button until the blue indicator light
remains lit after blinking.
If you turn it on for the first time, it proceeds
into Pairing mode immediately.
2 Search for and pair with your phone according to
your phone’s user guide. (Bluetooth PIN: 0000, 4
zeros)
If the pairing is successful, the blue indicator
light will flash 10 times rapidly before entering
Standby mode.
If the blue indicator light remains lit, retry
pairing.
