How do I find computer installation software to use the data cable for downloading photos?

I have a Sansung Freeform II cell phone which came with a USP cable for downloading photos to computer. When I connect to USB port the message reads: "The hardware was not installed because the wizard cannot find the necessary software." and also tells you to use CD-ROM or click Back if you know the location of the installation software. Neither the phone nor accessory came with a CD-ROM disc.

I am unable to get the Gravity 3 phone to connect via USB. Is there a trick I need to know?

I have installed the usb driver. I also tried installing PC Studio (although I really don't want all that functionality), but neither seems to work to recognize the phone. I am using a generic micro-USB to USB cable, not the Samsung cable.

Schematic/Pin out

Hi-

When I plug this cable into my ATT Zero Charger but leave the phone disconnected the charger stays on. The expected behavior is for the charger to be off unless the phone and cable and charger are all attached together. Could I get information on any resistors, etc among the 4 wires within this cable for troubleshooting please?
