Most probably this is because your preferred language is not set to English. Some stations put English on the Spanish or French channels, others put nothing.

To change, press the menu button on your remote and select:

Sound > Multi-Track Options > Preferred Language > English

Use the arrow buttons on the remote for this. Then push the Return button.

One possibility is that you are using a 16 to 10 ratio video mode, which is common with some laptops, instead of a 16 to 9 ratio video mode, which is used in HDTV.

Check the video setup on your computer. It is best to be using native mode (1920x1080) to get the sharpest picture (and all of it).

You probably set the *Menu* language to English by going into the menu and setting:

Setup > Language > English

You need to set the *Sound* language:

Sound > Multi-Track Options > Preferred Language > English

The 2333hd is not web capable in the sense that it cannot connect *directly* to a network. However it can be used as a monitor for a computer connected to the web.

I use the 2333hd both as a TV and a monitor. Depending on the connectors and signals available from your computer video card you can use the VGA, DVI or HDMI connectors on the TV.

I have no difficulties downloading movies from the Internet Archive, for example, and playing them on the 2333hd. I can't quite do 1080p because my video card and computer are ancient, but 720p looks great.

My video card resolution is set to 1920x1080 and the 2333hd is sharp as a tack.
