The monitor flickers with a dim image for the first 5 or 6 minutes on start up, then stabilizes with a good image. However there is still a problem making ajustments. I get a notification on screen that says "Auto Adjustment Not Available."

if you are getting flickering on start up or coming out of hibernation,then its fine after a few minutes,its the Capacitor's in the monitors power supply going out.they used capxon caps and they are evidently junk.mine is doing it after 3 1/2 years 22" 226bw.i'm gonna contact customer service first and if they wont fix it,i'll fix it myself and be the last samsung i buy because this is samsungs problem for using junk caps.

My monitor does, or did the same thing after owning it for little more than 3 years. It's now dead, it wont power up at all. I called up support and I was so surprised to find out that my monitor was out of warranty. A 3 - 4 year old monitor that is completely dead is unacceptable. I was actually thinking about buying a Samsung TV... not any more. Apparently this is a common issue with this monitor, not that Samsung will admit it. The monitor was an excellent monitor while it worked, it's just a shame that quality was overlooked.

I have tried different outlets and another cord from my backup monitor...no effect.

If your monitor will not power on and you have verified it is not the cable or the outlets, the monitor will require service. You can set up an online service request or call 1-800-SAMSUNG.

If you open the following link and click on "Log In Here" (blue text) under "Already have a Samsung account", you will have the option of clicking "Forgot Your Password". This will allow to gain access to your Samsung account to check on your monitor's warranty status.

Also, just so you're aware, your Samsung monitor come with a 3-year parts/labor warranty. This warranty is good from the day of purchase specified when you initially registered.

Why does my monitor power up, flicker, then go blank

If I press the on/off button, the monitor will come on (briefly) if I keep doing it (on,off,on) it will eventually stay on???????? All drivers, vidio etc are up to date, I follow all suggestions for flickering etc as posted here.

Screen is white from startup....I have tried swapping cables (DVI & VGA); both simply display white.
I have tried the monitor in a different PC and the same white screen.

226BW goes to sleep and \i can't wake it without reboeoting my system

226BW Monitor is 4 years old. Just bought a brand new high end M-Tech desktop after my Velocity Micro PC died. I had the same problem with the Velocity Micro and was surprised that it happened again with the M-Tech PC. I changed the power settings to never go to sleep on the VM and did the same on the M-Tech. Please advise solution if this continues.

The white on my 226BW is now yellow.

The white on my 226bw monitor is now yellow. I added a 2nd monitor to my system and noticed that the color is way off. What can I do to get it back to the correct shade of white?

When I do a screen capture and display the image on the other monitor it looks normal.
