I had no trouble connecting with the monitory the first time I set it up. Since then, if the monitor is off, I get a check signal cable message when I turn it back on. The users manual which came with the monitor doesn't show OSD controls that remotely look like the buttons on the monitor I received. I've tried to extrapolate which might serve the same purpose, but nothing seems to work. Last time after about a week of looking at the "check signal cable" floating over the screen, my boss just touched the controls (he didn't know which one) and it came on. I had tried all of them before that. It's been working fine so I decided to disconnect it and connect it to a new PC I'm setting up. Again, I can't get the "check signal cable" floater off the screen. I was a systems analyst in another life so can usually figure out what's wrong. The cable connection is secure so it's not that. Absolutely nothing happends when I touch any of the buttons except the power button. No on screen display. Nothing. Can you give me some direction? This is driving me crazy and I desperately need the monitor up and working. It's a beautiful monitor. I'm sure it's something I don't know.
