There is not a specific cycle designed for rubber backed rugs, so I would suggest following the product's instructions. Please keep in mind, however, the importance of using HE detergent, and using it in moderation, since excessive suds can cause errors and leaking. I would also recommend washing in cold water to ensure the rubber is not damaged by heat, adding an extra rinse if the rug is particularly thick and fluffy, and you may need to add a few towels to the load to help the load remain balanced during the spin cycle, as well. Thanks for the question.

Question

why does my dryer shake

Is there any way to stop my dryer from shaking on the pedestal?

I feel like the plastic clips used to mount the pedestal to the dryer is a bad design.

When properly installed, the dryer should not shake excessively. Please refer to the image below for proper placement of the plastic screw nuts and accompanying screws. If the screws were overtightened, it's possible the plastic nuts were stripped, preventing the screws from being able to be tightened securely, and will need to be replaced. For replacement parts, please contact samsungparts.com or call 800-627-4368 to speak with an agent who can assist you.

Question

How do I repair a scratch?

I recently purchased a new washer/dryer (front load) and during a spin cycle (high) our plastic laundry basket left scratches on top of both the washer and the dryer. How can I fix this? Does Samsung sell touch-up paint? Also, at the end of a wash cycle the washer displays the word "End" and will stay that way until I push the Power Button. Is this correct? According to the OM, all displays are to shut off after 10 min. Please advise

I'm sorry to hear your washer and dryer have gotten scratched. Unfortunately, Samsung does not have touch-up paint available. The power does not turn off automatically, so the END light will remain on until you power it off yourself.

On occasion, Samsung will run a promotion and feature it on the website, but this is rare and the time frame would usually be very specific. Our retail partners do run sales and discounts periodically, so you may want to sign up for their online newsletters to receive updates.

For information on Energy Star rebates, which may be available for washers and other Energy Star-rated appliances, please visit www.energystar.gov or http://www.energysavers.gov/financi...

Question

What is causing a problem with my washer, has water standing in the detergent dispenser after cycle?

I purchased my Samsung front loading washer and dryer a few weeks ago. Today I noticed that it is leaving water standing in the detergent dispenser after the wash cycle is completed. It was not doing this before and it is not just a little water, the dispenser is full of water. What could be causing it to do this?

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue. The likely cause is that the washer is not level, and is tilting forward. Please click on this link for instructions on how to correct this issue: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber... If, after checking the leveling, you're still experiencing this issue, please contact 800-SAMSUNG for further assistance.

Question

Will stacking washer / dryer impact dryer functionality?

We have steam VRT washer and dryer stacked on second floor; within 6 weeks of operation the igniter needed to be replaced. Service individual suggested vibration from washer damaged igniter.

Samsung washers and dryers are designed to be stacked without compromising functionality. A key factor when stacking any washer and dryer is to make sure the washer is completely leveled. It was a purely coincidental that the igniter had a malfunction. I apologize for the miss information the servicer provided.

Question

Why does the wash cycle of the WF448AAP turn on and off so often

I do not understand why the WF448AAP washer turn on and off so often. The washer sprays and turn about 5 times one direction then it stops and then it sprays and turns the other direction about 5 times. The wash cycle took about 1:18 minutes and if the machine would just continue cycling in one direction for 15 minutes and then the other way for 15 minutes, I think it would take lest time to wash. Also, what experience do you have with the longivety of the parts working. Being a service man for boilers and chillers i know that parts do not last as long if they short cycle. This looks just like short cycling to me.

What you are describing is normal operation. The reason the unit cycles back and forth and pauses, is to ensure all the clothes get clean. Front loader washer use far less water then conventional washers. Front load washers push the clothes through the water, not the water through the clothes. If the washer was programmed to spin in one direction for 15 minutes, and 15 minutes in the other direction, the clothes would not come out clean. Because of the small amount of water, the clothes must be frequently repositioned to ensure uniformity of the cleaning process.

The matching dryer models for the WF328AAR are the DV328AGR (gas) or DV328AER (electric). These models are no longer in production, but may still be available at a retailer near you. If you are unable to locate these models, you may want to consider the DV409AGR (gas) or DV409AER (electric); though the control panel and accents are slightly different, the Tango Red color is available.
