The difference between the LNB650 and the LNA650 is the LNA650 was manufactured last year, where as the LNB650 was manufactured this year "2009" so the newer series. As for all of the other model numbers the difference is in the specs. Some have better contrast and stuff like that. Out of the model numbers you listed the LNB650 is the best one, and probably the most expensive one. Hope this helps you.

Question

Why won't my TV recognize my A/V connection?

I had my A/V cable from my video game system hooked up to my 6000 LED. I disconnected it to attach a component cable from my DVD player. Now the television will not recognize my A/V cable for my video game system. It only recognizes when I have all 3 component cables attached. Do I need to change a setting on the TV or something?

Question

Playing MKV fvideo files

I have Samsung LCD 46" of 6 Series and I love it, but there is one thing I'd like to ask you about. When I play MKV files via Media Player it does not recognize DTS audio tracks and sometimes some video formats. Is that possible to fix it somehow. Maybe you could fix it in the next Firmware? It would be awesome! Thanks a lot fro your attention!

Thanks for the post! Although I may not have a solution for you right now concerning your non-playing files (aside from performing a firmware update), I will bring this up to the proper departments for any future issue resolution. I assume you have the B650 unit and have the unit either connected via DLNA or USB. Again, thank you for your post.

If you purchase the unit within the North American Territories, it will only have support for NTSC/ATSC/QAM broadcasting systems and only 100v-127v 60Hz power. Outside of the NA territories you will not only need a converter for the broadcast, but also for the power.

Question

Series 8 turn-on delay

I have a Series 8 model LN46A860S2F that will not turn-on immediately if it has been off for awhile. I've only had the tv for 1 year and the past couple months it turns on and acts like it is not receiving a signal from the satellite receiver. If the tv is turned off and on a few times, it eventually emits sound and then turns on after a delay. Can you tell me what could be happening?

ONCE YOU GET THE DOWNLOAD YOU HAVE TO PUT IT ON THE FLASH DRIVE. YOUR TV SHOULD HAVE A USB PORT IN THE BACK OR ON THE SIDE. WITH THE TV OFF PUT THE FLASH DRIVE IN THE USB PORT AND TURN THE TV ON. GO TO MENU AND ENTER FIRMWARE UPLOAD AND THE TV WILLDO THE REST. IT WILL LET YOU KNOW ONCE IT IS DONE. YOUR TV SHOULD WORK FINR AFTER THIS.

I'm sorry, but the Ultra Slim Mounts are only compatible with the Ultra Slim units (the Samsung LED 40" and larger line, and the 50" B850/860 Plasmas). For a compatible mount with your B750, you will want to use a Vesa approved mount with a bracket size of 400mm x 400mm.

Question

Why the difference in th Hz on your online specs and my user manual?

I just recently bought a model LN52B630 as a 120Hz, but in your manual you list all series 630 models as 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz, also I've notice as we change channels in the upper left corner it indentifies the channel and always has the 60 Hz after it. Every thing seem to be in 60 Hz, Did I really buy a 60 Hz? Can you explain to be why the two different specs, one that is in my manual and displayed on my screen or the one you show on your web page?

As a matter of fact, the LN52B630 is a fully capable 120Hz set and offers the Auto Motion Plus feature that enhances said 120Hz image. The processor on the Samsung 120Hz/240Hz units will always display at their respective Hz. Even when the signal is only being transmitted at 60Hz, it will always display at 120Hz/240Hz since the processor is always upconverting the signal. Activating the Auto Motion Plus feature will allow for judder reduction and blurring reduction, depending on what settings you activate. This will enhance your 120Hz/240Hz viewing. The reason you are seeing the 60Hz in the info box and in the manual is because the info box only displays the signal’s actual Hz and screen resolution and not the info of the picture on the screen after the TV processes it. Meaning that the 60Hz you are seeing is the signals actual Hz and not the screen’s Hz. Currently there is no way to display the screen’s Hz in the info box and there are no consumer devices that support over 60Hz signal transmission on the market today (aside from 3D capable PCs).

Question

PC to LCD TV connection Troubleshoot

I have a 52" LCD tv (model LNT5265FX/XAA) and want to connect my laptop to the TV to use as a monitor. I have connected the VGA cable to the appropriate spots and have performed the monitor swap function on my laptop.

The problem is that the TV will not recognize the laptop. The PC function (when cycling through the inputs) will not appear. When I go through the menu > inputs, the PC option is not able to be highlighted. I've tried this with two laptops and had the same result. I've read through the Q&A section and couldn't find a solution.

I thought it was a simple plug and play operation. Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance.

I'm sorry you are having an issue with your device. Although it seems that for the most part you are correct in plugging in the PC cable into the PC input on the TV. However, there is some prep you need to do on the PC in order to get it to work properly. If the resolution the PC is set on is not supported by the TV, the TV will not show the picture (please refer to your manual for compatible resolutions). Also, with some laptops and PCs, you will need to restart your PC in order for the PC it self to recognize the new connection. For future reference, a DVI to HDMI or HDMI to HDMI connection would be a straight up plug and play connection, however the PC connection (VGA) may not necessarily be plug and play.

I can definitely understand your concern about the black bars. Although it’s good to follow your manuals directions regarding image retention, it is very rare for an LCD to experience burn-in. As long as you don't have the unit on a static image 24/7, you should not have any burn-in issues. Again, image retention and burn-in on LCD panels is very rare and would entail days of back to back static images to cause an issue.
